⭐️ India signs contract with Russia for enhancing air defence capability of Delhi class warships

Delhi-class warships are guided-missile destroyers with a displacement of 6,200 tonnes, a length of 163 metres and a crew of 40 officers and 310 sailors. They have a maximum speed of 32 knots (59 kilometres per hour).

⭐️ Yudh Abhyas: Indo-US joint military exercise begins in Washington

Yudh Abhyas is one of the largest joint-running military training and defence co-operation endeavours between India and the US.

⭐️ Boost for IAF`s firepower as government clears over Rs 5,000 cr Akash missile project

Akash missile has been chosen by the Defence Ministry over foreign systems also as the government scrapped an Army tender worth over Rs 17,000 crore to favour the Akash.

⭐️ Lt Gen MM Naravane assumes charge as Vice Chief of Army Staff

An alumnus of the National Defence Academy and the Indian Military Academy, Lt Gen MM Naravane was commissioned into the 7th Battalion, The Sikh Light Infantry Regiment in June 1980.

⭐️ BrahMos missile with 800km range possible, hypersonic version being developed

While the current speed of BrahMos missile is about Mach 2.8-3 (about 3704.4 kilometre per hour), the hypersonic version called BrahMos-II will be able to reach Mach 6 (7408.8 kmph) and above. The supersonic version of BrahMos has a range of 290km and is in service with the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force as well as the Russian defence forces.
