1. PM Narendra Modi calls all-party meet over conflict with China today (June 19), AAP excluded. According to sources, a political party with more than 5 MP has been called for Friday’s meet. Since the AAP party has 4 MPs in parliament, so it has not been invited.


2. The monsoon in the national capital Delhi is likely to reach by June 22-23, ahead of its schedule, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD)

Interstate movement of personnel of armed forces and Central Armed Police Forces has been relaxed in Himachal Pradesh in the wake of the recent clash between Indian and Chinese troops in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley, an official said on Thursday. There is now no requirement of any e-pass or permit for interstate movement of the personnel of armed forces and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) in Himachal Pradesh.


8. All Indian troops guarding the border with China carry arms, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said on Thursday, replying to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's poser that why Army personnel in Galwan Valley were sent "unarmed to martyrdom". in Ladakh and who is responsible for sending them towards danger.


9. The minister said armies of the two sides do not use firearms as per provisions of two bilateral agreements sealed in 1996 and 2005. "Let us get the facts straight. All troops on border duty always carry arms, especially when leaving post. Those at Galwan on 15 June did so. Long-standing practice (as per 1996 & 2005 agreements) not to use firearms during faceoffs," External affair minister Jaishankar tweeted.

The clamour to boycott China-made products grew in the country following the killing of 20 Indian Army personnel by Chinese troops in a violent face-off in Ladakh's Galwan Valley, with two Union ministers on Thursday urging people not to go for Chinese products, even as the Indian Railways has decided to terminate a signalling contract worth Rs 471 crore given to a Chinese company in 2016.

In a hardening of stance, sources said the government has decided to ask state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd not to use Chinese telecom gear in its 4G upgradation, which is being supported as part of the company revival package, while traders' body CAIT appealed to celebrities, including Bollywood actors, to stop endorsing products of Chinese brands as a mark of respect for the slain Indian soldiers.

1. India-China Major General-level talks at LAC completed after six hours: The meeting location was at Patrol point 14, where the clash took place on June 15-16. The meeting was headed by Major General rank officer. Moreover, no fresh build-up and no reinforcements have been brought in by the Chinese side. India has demanded a return to status quo in May, asking the Chinese to remove the additional buildup done in the area since then.


2. Slamming China's incursion into Indian territory at the LAC, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar lodged a strong protest of the Indian government with China over the violent standoff at Galwan Valley during his telephonic conversation with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi


3.  20 Indian Army soldiers including a Commanding Officer were martyred at Galwan Valley


  

4. Nepal on Thursday completed the process to update the country's political map by amending the constitution to incorporate three strategically important Indian areas, a move that could severely jolt the bilateral relations with New Delhi
