An Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) of Indian Army made an emergency landing in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district on Thursday(24 Oct). All passengers on-board, including Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, are safe.

Indian Army personnel Bishworjit Singh Saikhom wins IRONMAN 70.3

Bishworjit Singh Saikhom, a Pune based Havildar working with the Bombay Sappers, completed the IRONMAN 70.3 in 4 hours 42 minutes 44 seconds. The second position was secured by Nihal Baig, alumni of IIT Bombay, who clocked 4 hours 47 minutes 47 seconds.

Defence Ministry approves Army project for acquiring 3rd generation Anti-Tank Guided Missiles

The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, on Monday accorded approval for Capital Procurement for the Defence forces amounting over Rs 3300 crores of indigenously designed and developed equipment.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday attended the commissioning ceremony of Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Ship Varaha in Chennai. Varaha is the fourth in the series of seven 98m offshore patrol vessels. The ship has been indigenously designed and built by L&T in accordance with a contract signed with the Defence Ministry.

India's second Scorpene submarine Khanderi was handed over to the Navy by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) in Mumbai on Thursday. Khanderi, a Kalvari-class diesel-electric attack submarine, will be commissioned into the Indian Navy by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on September 28, 2019.

⭐️ Air Marshal Harjit Singh Arora takes over as IAF Vice Chief, Air Marshal Surendra Kumar Ghotia new South Western Air Commander

Air Marshal Arora was commissioned in the IAF as a fighter pilot in December 1981 and has flown planes for over 2,600 hours including Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21, MiG-29 and other combat as well as transport aircraft. Air Marshal Ghotia is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy and was commissioned in the fighter stream of IAF on December 11, 1981.
