JEE Main 2026 Big Update: Virtual Calculator Allowed

⚡ JEE Main 2026 Big Update: Virtual Calculator Allowed

🧮 For the first time ever, NTA will allow an ON-SCREEN / VIRTUAL CALCULATOR in JEE Main 2026.

📌What does this mean?
- You will see a calculator on the exam computer screen.
- You CANNOT carry your own physical calculator. If you bring one, it will be treated as unfair means and can lead to disqualification.

🧮 What functions are available?
- Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
- Square root
- Percentage / reciprocal type basic functions
- NO advanced / scientific features

⌛ How long can you use it?
- The calculator stays available on screen for the ENTIRE exam duration. You can open it whenever needed.

📝 Practice before the exam:
- NTA will release mock test + practice version so you can learn how to use this exact calculator before the real exam.
- Do NOT see it for the first time inside the hall. Train yourself now so you don’t waste time during Physics / Maths numerical questions.

🚫 Important rule:
- Physical calculators (even simple ones) are STILL BANNED in JEE Main 2026.
- Only the official on-screen calculator is allowed.

📅 Exam window:
- Session 1: 21–30 Jan 2026 (CBT, 2 shifts per day)
- Session 2: April 2026
- Your exact date, shift, and centre will be printed on your admit card.

✍🏻 Bottom line:
Learn the virtual calculator. Speed matters. This is a MAJOR change for JEE Main 2026.
