PM Modi`s mother Heeraben joined the nation by turning off all lights at her residence and lighted an earthen lamp, responding to her son`s appeal to switching off lights at 9 pm for 9-minutes as solidarity with coronavirus infected and to dispel darkness cast by the deadly pathogen in the country. On 31 Mar she was also donated Rs 25,000 from her personal savings to PM CARES fund

1.India mulls Trump's request to lift ban on hydroxychloroquine export and related formulations. Hydroxychloroquine tablets are recognised as prophylactic the anti-malaria drug.

2. Eight people were caught at the Delhi IGI airport on Sunday trying to flee to Malaysia. All of them have been identified as Malaysian nationals and are suspected to be hiding their participation in the recent Tablighi Jamaat event in Nizamuddin. The group was trying to board a Malindo Airways flight amid the ongoing lockdown in the country in which all international and domestic passenger flights have been suspended.
