1. Prez rule revoked before Maharashtra awoke: The BJP in Maharashtra has support of 170 MLAs in the 288-member House, senior party leader Sudhir Mungantiwar claimed on Saturday, which was marked by NCP leader Ajit Pawar's coup that saw Devendra Fadnavis taking oath as chief minister for a second term. Ajit, nephew of NCP chief Sharad Pawar, took oath as deputy chief minister.
2. Shiv Sena-Nationalist Congress Party-Congress combine on Saturday night filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking quashing of the Maharashtra governor's decision to swear-in Bharatiya Janata Party's Devendra Fadnavis as chief minister and demanded an immediate floor test to avoid "further horse trading".

14. Government of India has planned to link the capitals of North Eastern States with rail connectivity. This plan, however, does not include Sikkim. The capitals of Assam, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh are already connected through Broad Gauge rail network.
