Life as a Cadet in National Cadet Corps

National Cadet Corps

NCC give you many things and situations which will help you grow into a better version yourself.

Here are some

- A prefix (rank) to your name from day one till you die you’ll be adressed as atleast an ex-cadet.

-An uniform to be proud where one sees you with pride and tells others that his/her friend is something different from others in all aspects especially hostlers where

#They tell how one polishes shoes at midnight and irons uniform when others are fast asleep.

# they see the mud and sweat on your face after a hard day of parade or ragada.

# if it is Navy they would see how the cadets wash their uniforms and belts especially in the washroom for hours.

# they explain the speed of one cadet getting ready from bath to dressing up within 15 mins (Patti parade)

# they would miss them during the camp days

# they also tell others that when they take care about books we pack boots in our bags along with a polish and a brush

# when others hide money inside books we keep our hackle inside them to shape it

# while others are busy writing exams we see the lonely ground and hallucinate the boot sounds and commands

Camp things (best part)

- A 10 day camp which is not for a certificate but for the bonding of friends for life time and the lessons learnt will be the leadership qualities taught to others by us.

- Some lose their weight and may even faint during parades but never loose confidence and coordination .

-NCC not only moulds a person physically but also mentally and spiritually, imbibes the four cardinals.

*Be punctual

*Obey with a smile

*Tell no lies and make no excuses

*Work hard and without fuss

Where one follows it with his own charisma.

- One more lesson which it teaches you is how to stand, sit, walk n talk, shake hands in a polished manner .

- When others wish a Good day to the beloved ones... We wish *Jai hind* even by mistake.

- We read books of 42 subjects but our dearest book is the cadet diary which fits in our pockets .

- Even some official and personal details where your close and best friend would never know will be known by your batchmate even though you are not close to him because using *I don't know* in front of seniors is an abusive word.

- Some rare species of them who go to achievement camps like VSC/NSC/RDC/TSC will never bother of missing even a whole semester while other bookworms never show up in any manner during exams.

- Being a senior gives privilege to find fault with junior's uniform which even improves your observing quality.

- Any problem with anyone in the world during in NCC a senior is most entrusted person who can guide you because he/she is more than a brother/sister to you.

-The most biggest fear when you are up to some mischief is not that it would be brought to the notice of the principal but to the ANO who is your guide throughout your College and we fear them because they are not rude but because we disappoint the person who trusts us the most.

- The last lesson which it teaches you is to remain modest even after having a tea party with the president of INDIA or utmost President of other countries while some show off for their personal wealth and academics

All the lessons nurtured from NCC has made us the chosen ones we are today

Proud to be a part of this organisation

*_Once a cadet, Always a cadet_*

*Jai hind !*🇮🇳
