1. *India* has been *ranked 177 among 180 countries* in the recently released *Global Environmental Performance Index 2018 .*

2. *Reliance Industries (RIL)* become the *1st Indian company* to *cross the Rs6-lakh crore mark* in *market capitalisation* as its shares touched a 52-week high of Rs974.5.

3. *Indian Overseas Bank* has signed *an MoU* with *National Housing Bank* for the *Rural Housing Interest Subsidy Scheme (RHISS)* of the *Ministry of Rural Development.*

4. *Shah Rukh Khan* was honoured with the *24th Crystal Award* at the *World Economic Forum* in *Davos, Switzerland.* According to the WEF, Shah Rukh Khan received Award for *“his leadership in championing children’s and women’s rights in India”.*

5.Andhra Pradesh Information Technology (IT) Minister *Nara Lokesh* was felicitated with *Dr. Kalam Innovation in Governance Award 2018*at the Dr. Kalam Centre in New Delhi.

6. *Hugh Masekela* has died aged 78. Also Known as the *“father of South African jazz”*, Masekela had a long and successful career, releasing numerous albums.

7. *International Cricket Council (ICC)* has announced, the *2018 edition* of the *Women’s World T20* will be hosted by *West Indies in November 2018.* Hosts *Windies* will *defend the title* they won over *Australia in Kolkata in 2016.*
